The British government is ready to advance with utilizing the total value of frozen Russia's assets to bolster Ukraine's military campaign, PM Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a collective announcement, the leaders of the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and persuade Russia to participate in talks.

They added that the move would be carried out in strong partnership with the US.

United Kingdom restrictions have blocked in excess of £25bn of Russia's resources since Russia began its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, up to this point, funds provided to the Ukrainian government using Russian funds had solely been sourced from profits and interest earned on them.

Sir Keir assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and Germany were in agreement in their goal to push forward toward employing the full value of the seized Russian sovereign assets to halt hostilities.

He stated that additional measures soon would increase the strain on Moscow.

This declaration follows European Union leaders convened in Copenhagen previously to debate using frozen Russian holdings for a 140-billion-euro credit to Ukraine.

In the previous month, President Donald Trump called on G7 allies to take or otherwise use immobilized Russia's holdings, as reported by reports.

The total of seized Russian holdings in the Europe is estimated to be almost €211bn.

President Zelensky calls on Britain's Sir Keir Starmer to take part in the weapons procurement program

Moscow executed large-scale missile and drone strikes throughout Ukraine on Friday, leading to electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the city, and eight other regions.

In a message on an online platform after the attack, Zelensky wrote that the cynical and calculated attack targeted public and utility structures.

"What is required is not just talk but concrete steps - from the US, EU, and the Group of Seven - in providing defense mechanisms and enforcing restrictions," he wrote.

"All penalty impositions diminishes the Russian war effort," Zelensky declared, in a separate post.

Additionally that day, Zelensky stated to the press he would urge Sir Keir to participate in the weapons procurement program, under which alliance members buy weapons from the America to donate to the Ukrainian forces.

While commending the Britain's firm backing for Kyiv, he noted it should indicate firmly that it would take part in the system, as well as enforce further measures on Russia.
