This young athlete has substantial online following
Kai Trump can count on plenty of high-profile backers when she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple golf courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He essentially suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and has position 461 in AJGA standings.
However she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He told me to play, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that involving Kai brings golf to new audiences, particularly with the next generation.
The social media influencer boasts a massive following and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
