The Congressional oversight panel has released a collection of approximately 70 photos obtained from the property of deceased convicted individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the latest in a series of publication from a larger collection of over 95,000 photos the body has secured from Epstein's holdings. It features pictures of excerpts from the novel Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and censored pictures of women's foreign passports.

This action comes mere hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the Justice Department to disclose each documents related to its investigation into Epstein.

"These latest images bring up additional inquiries about what exactly the DOJ has in its custody," said the senior Democrat of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Images Released

A number of the photographs released on recently feature Epstein in discussion with academic and activist Noam Chomsky on a private plane; Bill Gates seen next to a female whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon seated at a desk across from Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the newest affluent, powerful figures to be pictured in Epstein property images published by the oversight panel - previously released pictures also include US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, ex- US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Showing up in the photographs is does not constitute indication of any misconduct, and a number of the pictured individuals have stated they were never implicated in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a statement issued alongside the photograph release, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not offer explanatory details or timings for the images.

"Photos were chosen to provide the American people with clarity into a typical cross-section of the photos acquired from the property, and to give understanding into Epstein's associates and his exceptionally troubling behavior," the announcement says.

The release also includes multiple photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita inscribed in dark ink across various areas of a female's body, such as her upper body, lower extremity, pelvis, and rear. Lolita narrates the story of a minor who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

An example of a passage from the novel inscribed across a female's upper body says, "Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a collection of photographs of female identification and identification documents from states worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the papers, like identities and DOBs, is obscured but the panel indicated in a press release that the passports pertain to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were involved with".

An additional photo shows Epstein seated at a workstation closely flanked by three women whose faces have been obscured - one has her hand on Epstein's chest under his garment, and another is bending to look at a nearby computer. Epstein seems to be helping the third fasten a wristband.

A further image disclosed is a screenshot of digital messages from an unidentified individual who states they have been provided "a number of girls" and are demanding "$1000 per female".

Photo Publication Arrives Ahead of DOJ Due Date

The panel has a vast number of photographs in its holdings from the Epstein property, which are "at once disturbing and ordinary," its announcement on recently noted.

The oversight panel first subpoenaed the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York jail in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on charges of sex trafficking, in August.

The photos and files the Epstein estate submitted to the panel are distinct from what is commonly termed "the Epstein documents". That material are papers within the Department of Justice's custody associated with its independent probe into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Trump enacted in November, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to release its documents. The full nature of what is contained in the DOJ's records is unknown, and it's probable that much of the content will be significantly redacted, comparable to Congressional materials
