Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
